Need someone down to earth to talk to college students, adolescents, young adults, or the like about sex(uality), mental health, and all that jazz? How about some who is comfortable speaking at a bachelorette party? Or maybe for a smaller event on sex and relationships for couples?
We got you! College events, women's groups, retreats, adolescent groups, churches; informal but still informational!
Mixing mental health and sex(uality) education comes easy to the Doc! Creating a curriculum that is age-appropriate, entertaining, captivating, and educational, is a must! Not only can Dr. Oriowo speak to the kiddos, she can work with the teens, and their parents/guardians, too! (BONUS: Dr. Oriowo has completed trainings for teacher and professionals who have to work with the young ones--eveyone should know how to answer questions and express their own (dis)comforts!)

Who this program is for?
This is geared toward educators, mental health practitioners, and those who ultimately aim to serve or work with racial minorities. We can’t do the work that is needed without a good hard look at if our organizations and practices meet true DEI standards, and we can’t do any of it if we don't explore ourselves in power, identity, and humility. This training program is intense and NOT a one-time 2-hour training. That is not enough to make sustainable change, but schedule a discovery call to learn more about this program and how it can meet the needs of your company.

What is this training about?
Sex education is a social justice issue we know all about, right? Wrong! Because somehow despite what we know, we seem to be just shy of having truly integrative work that calls in people of various backgrounds. In this 90 minute workshop, we will focus on how anti-blackness informs sex education and what we can do on an individual level to make change.
What are the objectives of this training?
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Identify 3 ways Black women's sexuality is impacted by hair texture
Identify 1 way mental health and sexuality are related
Identify 1 way to incorporate psycho-education and feelings about hair/beauty/intersectionality into the therapeutic/educational relationship

What is this training about?
Self Care is a buzzword that inspires mental pictures of bubble baths, massages, and vacations. Yeah, we have commodified it and made it into a luxury item that everyone doesn't have access to. But Self Care is NOT a luxury! It is a necessity! In this session we will explore some of our own “stuff,” how it intersects with the work we do, and how not to lose ourselves in the work. We will not only talk about, but practice self care through the engaging of the 5 senses, which can be practiced daily.
What are the objectives of this training?
Identify and practice 5 ways to engage in self care using one or more of the 5 senses
Identify 1 personal blindspot they may have that impacts their work as well as their self care
Define self care outside of just massages and bubble baths; specifically in being more preventative than reactive
